A route through the leafy valley of Vallforners, located inside Montseny Natural Park. The journey enables you to see typical farmhouses of the region and the church of Sant Salvador de Terrades. The famous chestnut tree known as the Castanyer Gros d'en Cuc is a huge tree which, for many years, was a coal miner's dwelling, with a hollow trunk which has a circumference of over 14 meters.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
Make sure you bring the following with you:
- Mountain Bike
- Helmet (mandatory! Safety first)
- Water bottle / Camelbak (there’s at least 2 fountains on the way, so there’s no need to carry lots of water)
- Food (whatever you’d like to eat, i.e. energy bars)
You should also consider bringing the following:
- Spare tire
- Eyewear (glasses)
- Gloves
We will meet at Cardedeu’s Train Station.
How to get there:
- Option 1: From Barcelona you can take the train to Cardedeu at Sants, Passeig de Gràcia, Clot or Sant Andreu, bikes don’t pay extra fees.
- Option 2: Take the highway AP-7 to Girona, leave the highway at Cardedeu’s exit, at the roundabout take the 4th exit, keep straight at the next roundabout until the road finishes, take a right and proceed to Cardedeu, as soon as you enter the village you’ll find the train station on the right side of the road.
- Option 3: if you don’t want to pay tolls you can also take the C-17 to Granollers, then the C-251 to Cardedeu, as soon as you enter the village you’ll find the train station on the right side of the road.
Since some of you are worried about the trail dificulty, here's a detailed map of the trail:

- The water drops mark fountains where you can refill your waterbottle/camelbak
- The blue dots with numbers mark bars/restaurants where you can enjoy some good grilled meat and cold beer
- The green dots mark suggested turn around points for those who are tired
Anyway, remember this is just for fun, this is not a competition, so we can always cut short according to group needs and head straight to the closest bar for a cold one
