Another Weekend plan for wine tasting & hike is here (forth edition).

The destination is the Terra Alta DO and the Mountains between Catalonia and Aragon.

We will join on the usual place (Palau Reial), Friday, November 6th at 20h00. The transportation will be by car.

FEE PAYMENT STATUS:

Petrol costs (aprox. petrol costs: 50 EUR) will be split. The car driver is responsible for requesting the costs of his/her passengers.

Program

Friday, November 6th

Driving to the accomodation. The distance will be aprox. 230 km and 2h30 minutes in time.

IMPORTANT: ALBERTO & SILVIA will be the Assistants organizers on startup (big man, little pretty girl and a white car) because Michel & I will be coming from Alicante and will meet up other people directy at the Camping.

Dinner for the first night will be buyed by Michel & me at arriving, so you don't need to put with you any meat. We also will buy some wine bottles (really needed!)

Accomodation: CAMPING ELS PORTS

Details: We will stay at Bungalows. Each Bungalow have 5 places. Price for the full weekend for each bungalow is 200€ (will be aproximately 40 € per person, and there's NO OPTION to pay only one night)

Bed Linens or Sleeping Bag are needed.

TOTAL PRICE OF ACCOMODATION = 800 € (40 € each one, from the payment fee)

Saturday, November 7th

11:00 - Visit to CELLER CLUA

More or less the visit will be about 1h or 1h30.

17h00 - Visit of the Mostra de Vins de Gandesa

We will go to Gandesa, for the "Festa del vi de i jornades gastronómiques de Gandesa" (Gandesa's wine party)


Sunday, November 8th

Hike: DETAILS PENDING, but I'm considering two options, of 10km (VERY EASY, 70 M ELEVATION) & 9km (MODERATE, 500 M ELEVATION)

• Condition required: EASY
• Distance: 10 km
• Estimated Duration: 3 h
• Elevation (cumulative): 100 m
• Pet friendly: NO
• Child friendly: NO

In the evening, depending on people, we will go to the Mostra de Vins at Gandesa or to the scenery of the Ebro Battle (Santuari de la Fontcalda, Cota 705, etc)

Those without the proper gear will not be allowed to come.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
Make sure you bring the following with you:
• Hiking boots (water-proof)
• Warm and water-proof clothes.
• Food for the hike (at least for your lunch and also some energy bars and fruit) unless you want to but something on saturday
• Water for the walk (at least 2 liters)

  • * Saturday lunch: 20 €
  • * Saturday dinner: 20 €
  • * Supermarket costs: fridays dinner, breakfast: 10-15 €
  • *Wine shopping and others: depends on you!

       Un fin de semana gastronómico-etílico de los más divertidos en mucho tiempo. Gracias a todos los miembros de la recién creada sección Hikecoholic del Barcelona hiking & outdoors group.
