Those without the proper gear will not be allowed to come.

We are going by car.

COSTS:

  • Petrol costs (aprox. petrol costs: 50 EUR) will be split. The car driver is responsible for requesting the costs of his/her passengers.
  • Camping: around 13 EUR/person and day
  • Kayaking: around 20 EUR
  • Remember to bring enough money for other costs like the food that you want to buy, etc.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • Write in the comment of your RSVP if you bring a car and/or tent and how many places does it have.
  • If somebody with another car and/or tent joins this meetup, I will increase the amount of people that can join us (up to 20-22).
  • You have to pay 45 EUR in advance. You will pay the difference with the final costs when you come.
  • When your RSVP becomes Yes, I will send you an e-mail with the payment information. You will have 5 days to pay otherwise you will lose your spot.

NOTE: On Saturday night, we normally go out to a restaurant as a group and menu prices generally range from 20-30EUR/person. Afterwards, those who have the energy tend to go and have some drinks at a local bar. This has normally been the trend on the weekend hikes, so you should be prepared to bring with you the right amount of cash to pay for everything if you plan to take part in these activities.

We'll meet at Palau Reial (Av. Diagonal / Tinent Coronel Valenzuela). You can see the location here.

BEGINNERS ARE ALLOWED: but you have to be sure that you are in good shape for the first hike.

BY JOINING THIS EVENT YOU ARE ACCEPTING THE GROUP RULES. (see them at the About Us Section)

If you need to contact me by phone, click here to see my phone number.

We will not wait at the meeting point longer than 15 minutes. The schedule is very important this time.

If the event is full and you'd like to join it, respond with a No, including a comment telling that you wish to come. I will change your RSVP to Yes in case there is any free room.

hi folks, today I have got a newsletter from "els olivers", a nice hostal in horta de sant joan. they are inviting to assist to a jazz concert in their garden for free. it will start at 10 pm. http://www.elsolivers.cat/?...

Cristian, Anke, there are two available places in my car and maybe some more in other cars. Since Marga and I are coming back on Saturday, you can accommodate to the available car places in the outbound trip and come back to Barcelona with Gillem and train. Doing this way you don't have to rent a car. It is just an idea.

Hi Susan, I do have my own tent and was planning on bringing it (I've actually never used it so I'd better check it before hand to make sure it's okay!). I've got my own Thermarest too so don't need an air mattress or any of that kind of stuff. Hopefully that will save you some weight.

He am now noticing I have to bring my big tent putting up 2 others. I don't mind but could we meet somewhere else? I am not able to move the bag of the tent and sleeping gear etc on my own. However Fiona stated she has her own tent which means if she brings hers I can bring my normal one for Barbera and me.

Hey Guillem, in the end Anke and I don't quite have a car for this week-end. We could meet you up somewhere along the way, with the only constraint that we can leave from Barcelona Sants starting with 18:30 (Anke is coming straight from work). If it's too late, or we can not meet please let us know so that we can rent a car. Thanks

Diane, on Friday you are in Xavier's car and on Sunday you go back to Barcelona in Natalia's car. We will try to start the hike on Saturday very early to avoid the heat as much as posible. If you travel on Saturday morning you will not arrive on time for the hike.

You could come to Mora la Nova by train too (17:33 Passeig de Grācia) then I pick you up there and is just 45 Km to Horta de Sant Joan.

Hi, Is there a car going up Saturday morning instead of Friday night? Also, I'm confused about which car I'm supposed to ride in, because my name is listed twice above...?

So...no one wants to come to Hospitalet de l'Infant (trains 16:28 & 17:57) and then I drive you to Horta de Sant Joan. That would be just 30minuts longer, I could take 4 of you. Sorry, my parents have the car there.

To rent a car and split the cost is a good alternative. We do not have many cars for this event.

Awesome weekend. Enjoyed every single bit of it. The wet water of Ebro, the sweat of the 27 km of trail with beautiful views, the super cool company, the geeky moment while walking that will make the game that I'm working even cooler and faster to run :) Thanks Anchel for organizing this cool weekend. Thank you Xavier and Guillem for taking us in your cars.
